The Science And Art Of Living (SAAOL) was established in 1994 and is the most comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation and reversal program in India.

Purpose: to change the complete lifestyle and reduce the risk of heart disease through diet modification, stress management, exercise, yoga, meditation, education, and counseling. Our primary goal is to foster independence: enabling individuals to self-monitor their activities and to take primary responsibility for healthier lifestyle behaviors and risk factor reduction.

W hy not Angiography
Angiography - the common name for “Invasive Catheter Angiography” is something Saaol advices people to avoid. There are three reasons behind this. One is that the test is invasive and thus full of complications; secondly the results are very inaccurate and the third is that following angiography the cardiologists create a scare of heart attack to push the patients towards further treatment (i.e. Angioplasty or Bypass Surgery) in their hospitals. Lets consider each of them. .......

"NATURAL BYPASS" Therapy
The concept God has given us thousands of arteries in the heart. The three main coronary arteries first give origin to about 10 branches which in turn give rise to 100 branches and the hundreds give thousands of branches. These branches are called Capillaries. They all are connected to each other and can give or receive blood from each other. These channels can be a good source of blood to heart muscles when some of the major or minor arteries get blocked. If, some how, these channels can open up or made broader, the deprived heart muscles can get adequate blood supply. This can be called a Natural Bypass. Scientifically this treatment can be called “Pneumatically Assisted Natural Bypass” or “PAN Bypass . These natural channels are very much present in sports persons or athletes. As they do a lot of exercises throughout their career, the heart muscle develop these capillaries into broader tubes. Once these tubes are developed the athletes do not get angina even if they develop blockages to the extent of 80-90%. Their heart muscles do not die even if they suffer from a 100% blockage. .......

The THEORY OF BIOCHEMICAL ANGIOPLASTY
The concept When we visited a chemical factory sometime back I was told when the chemicals pass through a pipe they react with the wall of the pipes and create plaque like obstructions. Ultimately the pipes get choked from inside. When I asked about the remedy the engineer incharge told me they send some opposite chemicals in the same tube and the plaques are removed. It is something like a housewife puts drainex in the kitchen drain to clear out the choked pipe. Similarly, it looks logical that something that deposited can also be removed. A mixture of biochemicals (all safe for the body and in correct dosage) now have shown results of reduction of coronary blockages when passed through the body. These chemicals mainly contain chemicals like Anti-oxidants, EDTA, Vitamins, Isotonic carrier, PH balancing drugs. All of them are injected in the patient through intravenous route for a period of two and half hours to obtain softening of the blockage and a gradual reduction of blockage. The results become apparent within six to ten infusions. .......

How to say no to a heart hospital?
It is a very common knowledge that once you reach a Heart Hospital with a chest pain or a heart attack it becomes very difficult to exit without undergoing a Bypass Surgery or Angioplasty. This is specially true for those coming from upper, middle class or rich patients who can pay promptly. Both these statements are almost true in 90% of cases. Once you are a heart patient it is definite that your blockage will be more than 70% or so. Most people develop symptoms only after they have 80% blockage. These blockages grow in a very slow speed (about 2-6% per year depending upon how bad your blocking factors or lifestyle are). Once you reach a cardiologist working in any of the heart hospitals who have angioplasty or Bypass facilities their first aim will be to convince you to under go one coronary Angiography using a catheter. Though it is an invasive test, most of the patients agree for it thinking that this is the only test to know the percentage of blockages( Which is not true!). .......
