Investigation the rate of deposition of cholesterol in the lining of the blood vessels or the breakdown of the deposits (reversal of blockages) can be predicted. The normal values of these tests are given in the table below, but I would always recommend people not to keep their value at the upper end of the range but to keep them at the lower end. For example, if the range of Cholesterol is between 130 to 200 mg/dl - it is good to have a value which is near to 130 mg/dl. This becomes more important for those who already have blockages in the heart arteries or those who have other risk factors which they cannot control, due to circumstances. |
